Background

At Cargill animal nutrition we produce innovative, transformative, sustainable solutions for the animal production industry. We started our animal nutrition business in Thailand in 1982 with the establishment of a broiler starter feed mill in Chachoengsao Province. Over the years our business has grown substantially, and we now serve over 400 dealers and direct farm customers across Thailand with customized animal nutrition solutions for swine, aquaculture, and poultry. We manufacture over 200 different kinds of high-quality feed products in four feed mills that we own and operate. These feed mills are located in the provinces of Chachoengsao, Nakornpathom, Nakornratchasima, and Phitsanulok. We also own and operate one warehouse in Chiangmai province.

Situation

The customer is demanding higher marking requirements, meaning that either manufacturing and expiry date, factory code, production time, product control code, and batch number. as the printer is not continuous operation but used to code individual product items once or twice work shift a day, a further essential requirement was the ease of set-up and changeover.
